The usage rate is the item's own: an amenity kit is one a night, a bottle may be two, a roll may be a half, and the worksheet takes whichever you enter.
The par level, from the days of cover

Days of cover is the buying decision: a supplier who delivers weekly needs a shorter par than one who ships monthly, and the worksheet lets you see what each choice does to the order and to the store.
The order, from the par less the stock on hand
A 2,520-unit par with 800 on hand is an order of 1,720 units, $1,462 at 85 cents each on the worked example. That is the figure the purchase order carries, and the paid plan keeps it against the supplier, the price agreed and the delivery, so the second order is never raised because nobody could see the first.
